[Very nice, my problems would be security and continuity - there is
no way to be sure that my data is being kept confidential, and I have
no guarantee that the company will stay in business. If they go
bust, my virtual computer will disappear even faster than it
appeared! .... I can imagine this sort of tech inside an office,
however, where those factors can be controlled. Very nice indeed....

GOPC is a virtual computer which you can run from almost any device
on the Internet. It stores your desktop, programs and data and
delivers this like a television image to whatever machine you happen

How Does It Work?
GOPC operate a number of secure data centres across the globe. All
you need is any basic computer and Internet connection. When you sit
at a new computer download an icon to the PC or use your browser to
select the GOPC Java Applet which connects you securely to your data
centre. Your desktop and programs appear as if they are running on
the local machine. It looks and feels identical to a normal PC.
None of your programs or data run on the local PC so there is nothing
to maintain or to go wrong. It makes no difference whether your
using an old or new PC.
The GOPC data centres are reliable with 99.99% uptime so if your
Internet link is running, then you're ready to go.
Whether working from home, work, school, friends, relative or an
Internet cafe, the computer you happen to be sitting at acts purely
like a dumb terminal or television screen. The image of the computer
"appears" to be running on the screen but its "actually" running on
powerful servers in the data centre. The data centre is connected
directly into the Internet backbone providing maximum speed for your
email, web browsing or file sharing.
GOPC should be far more reliable and secure than storing all your
