This menu can be accessed via the standard Windows Control
Panel as well:

Start.. Settings.. Control Panel.. Internet Options..

However I suspect the question related to Windows itself, not IE;
for example Start.. Run.. contains autocompletion code.

Hades didn't mention which version of Windows he's got installed,
however I can't think of any other autocomplete disables ..perhaps
in Win2k? ...... anyone?

I have found this key in the Win98 registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\AutoComplete

it's also at

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVer
sion\Explorer\AutoComplete

it has two subkeys, "append completion" and "use autocomplete"
... both set to yes. Hades, you could try setting it to NO. But do a
backup first. ;) Let me know if this works..!!!

The Internet Explorer autocomplete settings are at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\BROWSE

Stuart

PS: that's some fancy lookin' crypto you've got there, Martin!
