..do you have a 500Kb Word document that you're sure should be
smaller?
..do you have a doc that every time you add a word, then save it, it
grows by 30-50k?
If this is you, you're victim to some wierd and strange bug/feature
that unnecessarily bloats the size of frequently-edited Word
documents. If you've got a doc you've opened and saved perhaps
thousands of times over the years.. it's probably hundreds of Kb's
larger than it needs to be. Which is NOT cool if it's your CV and
you're emailing it to 100's of people a month uncompressed over a
36k dialup link.
To fix this issue, simply open the document, save it as a new
name, then exit Word, delete the original, and rename the newly
saved copy to the original.
Who knows what's getting accumulated. I'd suggest "every change
you ever made" ....... not too cool for CV's either.
My CV went from 556k to 169k instantly!
