swings both ways.
If you haven't seen your site attacked by one of these robots, just
wait.
They call for files five times a second, for minutes at a time. From
all over the internet. For months on end.
Sound like a laugh???
Just wait until it happens to you. Then you too can start sweating
about changing ISPs, lost indexes in search engines and on
referring pages, legions of 404 errors, and a fucked-up set of
statistics.

PS: my page at http://www.vandra.clara.net/opinions/deathp.htm has taken nearly 600 referrals from search engines over the past 7
months. The CIVILISED way to say the SAME THING. But I just
said my site is DDOS'd. So maybe 600 hits means nothing. Who
knows??
