We are the biggest host in the world using exclusively Linux for
hosting. We do no longer provide any NT hosting facilities at all. It
is our experience that Windows NT requires 2-3 times as
expensive hardware, very high software costs, more support
personal and still is not as fast and reliable as Linux. We generally
advice against using NT for any commercial hosting facilities. The
only Windows machine we host is for our own webcam. That's
about all we trust it to do and only until we get some Linux drivers.
You just cannot beat the performance and reliability of Linux and
the open source software concept.
